Dogs, cats, small pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs, and pet birds. Some pets need a few details confirmed before we accept the booking. Protected species, such as many parrots and reptiles, are priced individually and may need a permit. Not sure about yours? Ask us before you book.
Enter where your pet is travelling from and to, and a date. You see every service for that trip with its price: a shared route, where your pet is collected at a stop in your town, or door to door. The price depends on the route, the service and your pet’s size, and each animal is priced separately. Nothing extra is charged without telling you first.
At least two days for road transport, and around a week for domestic flights. Shared routes run on set days, so we offer the next pick-up in your town and tell you when your pet arrives. Bringing a dog into South Africa usually takes three to four months, so start early.
Yes. We get quotes from accredited export agents for you and compare them, so you can choose one inside your account. The agent flies your pet and handles the export certification. We take care of the South African side: import permits, quarantine bookings, crates, and the drive to or from the airport. Pets fly into South Africa as manifest cargo only, never in the cabin or as checked baggage.
Up-to-date vaccination records, a microchip, and health certificates where the trip needs them. Dogs travel with their vaccination card, a leash and a harness. Pack enough food for the whole trip. Add your pet’s details and documents in My animals and we show you what is still missing.
